On Nov. 7th, 2014, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications held its 45th Sports Meeting. It was the first time international students took part in university level sports events. They were also part of athletes from School of Overseas Education. When they were marching in the stadium, international students shouted their own slogan to the audience, "Hi teachers, I love NUPT!"
Altogether 19 international students attended the sports event, full of spirit and energy. All expected to show their best on such a big stage. Among them, TONY NATHAEL BANKAZI won the fifth place in men's 100 meters for masters. CHRIST JUNIOR ICKONGA won the first place in men's pull-shot for masters, and broke the university record. They are both postgraduate students from Congo (Brazzaville). Christ was entitled Sportsmanship Award due to his excellent performance. Those are honors for international students, as well as for College of Overseas Education.
During the sports meeting, international students experienced the athletic atmosphere and witnessed high athletic level in our university. We expect them to be integrated fast into NUPT, their new home.
