Friday on the 5th of December 2014 between the hours of 6:30pm and 9:30pm, the ongoing singing competition among NUPT students had it grand finale.
The final show had 15 students competing for the ultimate prize as winners. The competition had begun a month ago with over 100 participants which later dropped to 15 students. Among the final 15 students for the grand final was one foreign student in the person of Leila Santiana Ndayishimiye,A first year electronic Information engineering student from Burundi (Africa).
Leila Santiana Ndayishimiye has great passion for music and her being part of the competition was a great platform for her to showcase her talent. On the grand finale she sang songs in French which happen to be her international language. According to her, she was bit nervous initially since she was the only foreigner in the competition. She then added that, she has a great admiration for Chinese songs and composition of instrumentals and looks forward to learning a Chinese native song soon
At the end of the competition, Leila Santiana Ndayishimiye turn out to be part of the top ten best vocal singers in the completion and had in her credit the best exotic voice of the competition. She walked away with two certificates with respect to the two recommendations she had.
