Notice on the Collection of Graduation Certificate Photos of International Students Who Will Graduate in 2027

Dear International Students:

To ensure the standardization and completeness of electronic registration information for graduatesacademic credentials, and to enhance the effective use of graduates photographic information during the employment process, our university has, in accordance with relevant requirements from the Provincial Department of Education, commissioned the Jiangsu Provincial Higher Education Admissions and Employment Guidance Service Center (hereinafter referred to as the Provincial Admissions and Employment Center) to uniformly collect electronic photographs of the students who will graduate in 2027. The relevant details are hereby notified as follows:II.  


I. Participantsand Collection Schedule

1. Participants: 2025 international masters students  

*Please see the namelist sent by your adviser.The name and the passport number should be the SAME as in the file.  

2. Collection Period:9:00 AM on April 1, 2026, to 5:00 PM on April 12, 2026.


II. Collection Procedures

This image collection utilizes the encrypted collection and transmission mode via the Image Collection Code on the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center (CHSI) website.(See the Brief Introduction to CHSI and how to create the CHSI account, https://overseas.njupt.edu.cn/2026/0324/c12414a298403/page.htm)

Students are requested to log in to CHSI in advance to obtain the unique encrypted QR code (hereinafter referred to as the Collection Code) provided by CHSI for each student. For specific instructions on obtaining the code, please refer to Attachment 1.  

Next, log in to WeChat, search for the mini-program Jiangsu Image Collection, click the Image Collection option under Service Guide, scan or upload the collection code for verification, carefully read the system prompts, and follow the steps. For specific user instructions, please refer to Attachment 2.


III. Photography Guidelines

1. Lighting: It is recommended to face a window and use natural light (avoid direct sunlight; evening photography is not recommended). Ensure even lighting on the face, with no obvious or asymmetrical highlights, light spots, or red-eye.

2. Posture and Expression: Stand upright with a natural expression. Keep both eyes open and looking straight ahead. Ensure both ears are visible (hair must not cover the ears), shoulders are level, and lips are naturally closed.

3. Eyewear: It is recommended to take the photo without glasses. If wearing glasses, do not wear tinted (including contact) lenses; frames must not obscure the eyes, and glasses must not reflect light.

4. Accessories and Coverings: Do not wear earrings, necklaces, or other jewelry. Hair must not cover the eyebrows, eyes, or ears. Do not wear head coverings (unless required for religious, medical, or cultural reasons, in which case they must not obscure the face or cast shadows). Makeup is not recommended.

5. Attire: It is recommended to wear a white top or a top that contrasts clearly with the background color. Avoid complex patterns or stripes (blue tops are not permitted).

6. Rephotographing is strictly prohibited: ID photos must emphasize authenticity and accuracy. It is strictly prohibited to use any software to alter facial features or apply beauty filters, and it is strictly prohibited to rephotograph existing photos.

7. Photo Resubmission: In accordance with the requirements of the Provincial Admissions and Employment Center, after photo collection is completed, the Graduate School will review the photos. Photos that do not meet the collection requirements will be rejected (if a photo fails multiple checks during upload, the system will lock the user’s account; the user must contact the administrator as prompted to unlock the account or wait until the cooling-off period ends, then carefully review the photo guidelines before retaking and uploading the photo). Students whose photos have been rejected must retake and upload the photo in accordance with the collection requirements within the specified timeframe.


IV. Fee Schedule

Following filing with the provincial price regulatory authorities, the Provincial Admissions and Employment Center will provide services including electronic image capture, real-name verification, post-production, layout and printing, and centralized mailing. Each student will receive one electronic copy and five printed copies of their photo. The fee is 15 yuan per person (both printed and electronic copies will be delivered to the university by the Provincial Admissions and Employment Center).


V. Important Reminders

1. The digital images collected during this process will serve as a key component of the academic certificate and will be electronically registered on the Ministry of Education’s platform. The photos (both printed and digital versions) will be used for critical purposes such as graduation certificates, employment recommendation forms, the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Development Center (CHSI), and the 91job Smart Employment Platform for employment, job hunting, and academic credential verification.All students must take this process seriously, follow the steps carefully, and strictly avoid re-photographing or using beauty filters, as this may result in photos failing to meet standards and being rejected during review, thereby affecting the aforementioned uses. Please refer to Attachment 3 for specific types of non-compliant photos and solutions.

2. Among the Class of 2025 students, those who have previously participated in graduation photo collection and whose facial features have not significantly changed may skip this photo collection session.
